Factory visit at SAPA Profiles Kft

It has been more than one year now since Puli turned from an idea to a vision and entered the long and winding road leading to fulfilment. Several people and organizations behind those people joined our vision during that period. We were invited by one of them to Székesfehérvár a few weeks ago. István Füzes, who followed us enthusiastically since the start, wished to introduce his own “realm” to us.

SAPA Profiles Kft (LLC) is part of the international SAPA group that develops, creates and sells high added-value products, from aluminium profiles and building structures to heat exchangers fabricated from aluminium strips. SAPA is owned by the Norwegian Orkla group, whose shares are marketed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The Hungarian factory at the town of Székesfehérvár produces and sells aluminium extrusions, pipes, rods and components. Those include structural parts for the automotive market, like side skirts or bumpers made from crush alloys, engine mounts and trunk lids, most of which ends up in high-end cars like Ferraris, Porsches, Audis, Aston Martins and BMWs. So almost everybody encounters the expertise and hard work of SAPA Profiles all time when admires a Porsche or Ferrari!

During the visit, we were presented with technologies that lifted the more than sixty years old tradition of aluminium extrusion in Székesfehérvár to the forefront of 21st century industry. Over several thousand square meters of factory floor all sorts of tools and accessories from laboratories to extruders are available to fulfil the unique requirements of any new customers. Only two fields remain where SAPA has no interests yet: aeronautics and space. The latter may change in the future however, if the connection between Puli Space and SAPA Profiles will become stronger in the future.

We'll be back soon with further developments. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
